What does Inex do?
EFFICIENT LOGISTICS
AROUND THE CLOCK

Inex Partners Oy is a logistics company wholly owned by SOK.

INEX’S TASK IS TO PRODUCE THE LOGISTICS SERVICES OF S GROUP’S GROCERY AND CONSUMER GOODS TRADE IN A WAY THAT STRENGTHENS THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE CHAINS.

S Group’s grocery chains include Prisma, S-market, Alepa, Sale, Food Market Herkku and ABC. The consumer goods chains include Prisma, Sokos, Emotion and hardware stores. We also produce services for S Group’s online stores and nearby Prisma stores in Estonia.

Inex Partners Oy seeks an overwhelming competitive advantage with logistics through security of supply and cost-effectiveness. The company’s main locations are its logistics centres in Bastukärr, Sipoo, on the border of Kerava and Sipoo.

The groceries and consumer goods logistics centres in Sipoo and Inex’s regional terminals constitute a network covering all of Finland through which products are delivered to S Group stores in Finland and Estonia. Some products are transported directly from suppliers and producers to stores.

The groceries logistics centre, which opened in the summer of 2016, is Finland’s largest and most modern logistics centre. Its functions are highly automated, and much attention is paid to ergonomics and occupational safety. The facilities used for grocery logistics are temperature controlled. Automation has also allowed Inex’s logistics work roles to be modernised. The groceries logistics centre is active around the clock and every day of the week.

The consumer goods logistics centre, which opened in 2012, is equipped with the latest technology in the industry. In the logistics centre, the products are prepared for sale by unpacking them, attaching alarms and performing other work that has traditionally been decentralised and done individually in stores. As a general rule, the consumer goods logistics centre works five days a week and around the clock.

Inex’s transports consist of goods flows from both foreign and domestic suppliers to logistics centres, warehouses and terminals, and from them to stores. They also include the transport of recyclable waste fractions from the stores to locations that utilise them. About a thousand articulated vehicles take care of Inex transports every day.
